While I am used to Cincinnati winters, I am not used to the arctic temperatures we have been having lately. With wind chills making it -15 to -25 degrees, I have been avoiding going out as much as possible. Since I am trying to stay indoors, I am buying in bulk when I go to the grocery store and freezing quite a bit. Since I am spending more time cuddled in a blanket, I have been taking advantage of my slow cooker, allowing it to do all the heavy cooking work while I enjoy some extra cuddle time with my husband at night.
Even though I love the chicken slow cooker recipes I featured last week, I do sometimes love to cook things other than chicken. That and in all honesty, a hot chili or potato soup seems perfect during the cold weather, don’t you agree?
