My thanksgiving plans are OVER! We cook for hours and eat for 30 minutes, logical? Ahh well, in a month I will say the same thing. We alternate my dad’s for thanksgiving lunch and his brothers home for Christmas lunch. As for black Friday shopping NOPE…. lol I don’t like shopping on slow days. I won’t fight the crowd at dawn to save a few dollars. Much rather do my shopping that I haven’t finished online.

  2. Kami Bryant November 27, 2014 at 6:41 pm -

I am alone for Thanksgiving, sad and feeling sorry for myself. I don’t like Black Friday because I don’t like crowds.

  15. Kirstie November 28, 2014 at 10:00 am -

The family got together and my house and we stuffed ourselves full! I’ve done black Friday shopping before, but haven’t done any black Friday shopping in the past few years. The closest I got this year was snatching up a wool cloth diaper for less than $15 including shipping!

  16. Susan Reedy November 28, 2014 at 10:23 am -

I spent Thanksgiving with my family at my father-in-law’s retirement home. Some years I participate in Black Friday but this year I’m going to look online.

  22. Cynthia P November 28, 2014 at 3:52 pm -

No, I do not participate in either tradition. I avoid “Black Friday” as much as possible, due to living simply and within my means, and since every single day of the year is a gift from our Creator & Life Giver, Jehovah God, I do not set aside one government specified day to express my gratitude or get together with family.

  23. TechFreaksHD November 28, 2014 at 4:23 pm -

    ThanksGiving with family!
already did my black friday shopping ^^

  25. Karen R November 28, 2014 at 5:22 pm -

  26. Monica Miller November 28, 2014 at 7:01 pm -

I think Black Friday is too out of hand for me, too much! And I’m Canadian so we already had Thanksgiving. I hiked with family and had a big turkey dinner.

  27. Missy Bates-Roberts November 28, 2014 at 7:04 pm -

  28. Dawn Monroe November 28, 2014 at 7:05 pm -

  29. Joanne Smith November 28, 2014 at 7:06 pm -

Staying at home for Thanksgiving this year. I am not int the mood to fight the crowds no matter how good the sales are … the bruises I get from pushy people just aren’t worth it!

  30. Lori November 28, 2014 at 7:43 pm -

We had Thanksgiving plans in another state, but were unable to go because of the weather. We stayed home and enjoyed a home made meal with our dog while we sat by the wood stove. I took my neighbor shopping on Friday to a store she normally doesn’t get to go to. everyone was HAPPY!

  31. Laura Martinez November 28, 2014 at 7:58 pm -

I went to my sister’s house to celebrate Thanksgiving with the rest of my big family! It was awesome! The food was delicious! I wanted to participate in the Black Friday Frenzy but no rides! 🙁 I can’t wait for Cyber Monday though! Thanks for the giveaway!

  35. Catherine Haynes November 28, 2014 at 10:28 pm -

Since Thanksgiving is over, just cleaning up. NO….I do not go shopping on Black Friday!

  36. Michelle T November 28, 2014 at 10:35 pm -

This Thanksgiving was spent with my in laws. It was a bit subdued since we just lost our papa. We saved him a spot at the table! He would have loved the cranberry sauce I made!

Usually we put the Christmas tree up together after dessert, but the rotating base of the tree is snowed in (still waiting to be shipped) somewhere on the east coast…

    I haven’t done Black Friday since I became a parent…. It’s just too much trouble… I’d rather get a deal online!

  37. Aurora P November 29, 2014 at 12:13 am -

I do participate in black friday shopping on the web buying cloth diapers and Jamberry nail wraps.

My thanksgiving was going to be by myself as my family are abroad, but my friend had invited me over after I got out of work, had a lovely thanksgiving dinner with friends and there family instead of just sitting watching tv by myself, as far as Black Friday I had to work also but didn’t mind as I don’t like shopping as I work in the mall everyday

  54. Tammi Jouett November 30, 2014 at 5:35 pm -

We just had Thanksgiving dinner at home and did some shopping online Black Friday. Too far to go to stores to shop and shopping on Thanksgiving Day is a little too much I think.
