I spent my 4th watching my Pug. She is a puppymill survivor and is still has loud noise anxiety….and the neighborhood kids are real loud. I really don’t care for the 4th anymore. They could do away with selling fireworks.

While my husband and two of my daughters had friends over and shot off fireworks on the 4th, I spend the majority of the day indoors, just trying to keep my dogs and cats calm. One thing I didn’t plan on was finding a tiny feral kitten just two days later – I’ve been bottle feeding her and working with her on eating solid food since. She’s the cutest and makes a great addition to our family.
