I guess my favorite thing to do over the 4th of July weekend would probably have to be climbing up on the roof of my home, lying back, and watching the fireworks displays from all the surrounding cities. I get a very good view, I can see all the displays for probably a good 5 or 10 miles around.

Two of my dogs are deathly afraid of fireworks, and since our neighborhood sounds like a demilitarized zone on the 4th, I like to spend the day inside with my pups. Even one of my cats is afraid of them, so I turn up the TV, pass out special treats, and spend the day playing with and comforting them I love having a whole day to devote to my pups, but I hate that they get so frightened. I really wish I had some place I could take them for the day where there wouldn’t be fireworks.
