It’s about 76 degrees over here by me so not hot, not too cool. About perfect for me. But the weather has been pretty rainy lately so I haven’t been able to do much outside.

It’s very warm for our area, 65 degrees! Summer has finally arrived. We plan to go walking today.

The weather today is gloomy- 50% chance of rain today and 90% tonight, but tomorrow and Sunday should be great days. Going a a day trip Saturday with friends, and coking for friends on Sunday.

We’ve had so much rain in the forecast lately, although it seems many of the days we ended up not actually getting rain. The forecast again calls for rain today and thunderstorms Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. It’s made it very hard staining the railings on our deck (we just replaced the worn flooring with composite decking and completely replaced the roof on the gazebo which is part of our deck). One expression about weather here in the Chicago area holds true. It’s not the heat, it’s the humidity. Our humidity has been over 80% more days than I care to think about. The temperatures haven’t gone above mid-80’s for the most part, but that, combined with the high humidity, has made it very uncomfortable. All the rain has really brought out the mosquitoes, too. And it’s only June. I’m dreading July and August.
