    I live in Southern California so I don’t often get the winter blues but when it is chilly and rainy I love to curl up on the sofa with my favorite throw with tea and homemade chocolate chip peanut butter cookies and put some DVD’s on such as Valentine’s Day and 50/50.

    I like to binge watch stuff on Netflix 🙂 Nothing pushes winter away like some creepy horror movies or a marathon of Adventure Time 🙂

    I take an aquafit class. It is fun and good exercise and helps keep the blues away

    I tried to get outside as much as possible. I think the sunlight really helps the winter blues.

    I can’t cure them, I get claustrophobic being inside so much, so I just get really bundled up and go for walks on the sunny days.

    I try keeping the grandkids busy with some sort of craft. We would be outside building snowmen but it’s been so cold they haven’t been able to yet. Hopefully they can get out there soon.

    Well, there ain’t no cure for the wintertime blues. But I try to cure them by going out to listen to good music. If that can’t happen, I will try to walk if the sun is out.

    When I’m feeling sad I get very quiet. I don’t want to yell at my husband and I don’t have any girlfriends where we live to talk to. Sometimes a good cry helps.

    One way is I eat some of my favorite foods like Chili and Mac N’ Cheese Casserole and I read romance novels.

    I open the curtains when its sunny outside and just pretend its warm. Also get some Spring cleaning done.

    Try to get out of the house at the first sign of sunlight. On cold ugly days we stay in, watch movies, build forts, have living room picnics or do a fun indoor outing like legoland, play center or aquarium.

    I take my share of hot baths with candles and bubble bath. It helps warm me up and take me away from the chill of the winter, if only temporarily.

    DIY projects around the house are my favorite way to cure the winter blues. This time of year is also when I start seedlings indoors in anticipation of planting my garden.

    I don’t really get the blues because I live in a warm climate but a bath and some ice cream always makes me feel better!
