Blankz Toys

Blankz Toys

As some of my readers may know, I used to be a teacher, and I loved finding creative toys for the classroom. With all the technology that is out there today, sometimes we adults forget that children love to be creative and show that they are budding little artists. For this reason I love when I can find toys that stimulate children to be more creative and use their imagination. Recently, I came across a toy that I fell in love with at first site – the Blankz toys.

At first glance, the Blankz toys look like your typical stuffed animal. Unlike the other animals in your child's room, however, they are meant to be colored and designed by young artists. Children are encouraged to design their new best friend, then make them their own little home using the Blankz drop card. When your child gets tired of the design on their new friend, all that is needed is a trip through the washer and dryer. After drying, your bear is once again a clean slate, ready to be made into a new masterpiece by your favorite little artist!

In our modern world, we sometimes forget that kids love to be creative. With video games, smart phones, and electronic toys everywhere, kids rarely have a chance to use their imagination anymore. With the Blankz toys, kids stimulate their creativity with a toy that just keeps on giving!

As someone that loves to find eco-friendly toys, I love that this toy is reusable. Unlike coloring books, the Blankz toys aren't a craft project that is tossed after one use, making them a great bargain for the money! All of the Blankz toys are currently being sold on Amazon for $14.99, making them a steal compared to so many stuffed animals that can purchased at Wal-Mart or Toys R Us. Does your child love a certain stuffed variety of animal? They are currently available shaped like the following animals:

After seeing the Blankz elephant, I absolutely fell in love with it! Below is one of my friends from Giveaway Gator's son, David, showing off his new friend. He absolutely loved it and thought his new elephant was cute even before being colored.  While Mom and Dad were happy to see him busy, everyone loved that this elephant could be quickly cleaned and redesigned too! To say the least, the Blankz are kid approved!

If you are like me, you likely also worried about those markers. What if your child decides to color on themselves, their clothes, or other pieces of furniture? All the Blankz toys come with five non-toxic, watercolor washable markers. Like most quality washable markers, they come out of clothes easily, allowing you to relax if they decide to get a bit TOO creative. Normal washable, watercolor markers will also work on these stuffed animals, so don't panic if you have kids that leave the tops off their markers, or need more than the five primary colors that come with your Blankz toy.

For those who are wondering why you have never heard of the Blankz, they are a toy that used to only be available in boutique or specialty toy stores. These toys are designed right here in the United States by Always Been Creative Inc. This Long Island, NY based company has been designing toys for years, and are excited to make these toys available to more parents through Amazon.com and other smaller retailers. I love this idea! I've already added a few to my wish list to buy for my nieces at Yule. I was looking for something unique to include as a little extra with the jewelry that each of them will be getting. They love getting crafty things, so this is perfect!
I have a stuffed teddy bear that I received as a gift on my 7th birthday. She was "Becky, the Nurse Bear" and I loved her! Becky is now 27 years old. She has since stripped the nurse's uniform and had a sex change. ;) Bobby Bear is now my son's treasured teddy. He is naked right now (shhh… he doesn't know), but he will be getting a new sweater hand-knit by me for Yule.

  13. WHAT A COOL PRODUCT! MY SON AND NIECES WOULD GO CRAZY OVER THIS!!!!  I LOVE THINGS THAT CAN BE REUSED AND RECYCLED!  DOES IT NEED TO BE WASHED ALONE?

    • Susan Bewley says:

Even though I know a lot of people have washed it with other clothes I would personally wash it separately. I had personally played with some other toys like this and found the markers bleed if kids get a bit too happy ;) It also depends on the company who made the washable markers being used.
