I am co-hosting a bridal shower next month. The first thing I would make with this mixer (and the recipe I need this to help with most) is the Almond Cake with Almond Scented Cream Filling and Almond Buttercream. Believe me, a mixer would make it sooo much easier than having to do it by hand!

The main thing I want a stand mixer for is homemade bread. I would have a loaf of something going every day if I didn't have to knead it. Even the "no-knead" recipes require some pretty strenous stirring which my arthritis makes very difficult.

I'm having a problem posting my comment on the other site. Since I take the "No Comment No Prize" thing seriously I have to ask. There are no comments there; am I the only person that has noticed this?

The capcha keeps telling me that it has timed out no matter how fast I try to post or what I do (I AM answering the math question right I am sure!).

I was trying to post this comment:

"What a gorgeous mixer; I like to have a steel bowl so that I can chill thins (like pis crust dough)."

But as I say it won't let me comment.

    Please advise!

More info: I tried this on Firefox, Safari and Chrome and got the same result. I also noticed that there are no other comments there. So (Houston!) there might be a problem with the capcha.

  48. TE Lawrence January 31, 2014 at 7:59 pm -

I really like that it has suction feet so it isn't moving all over when you're running it & the retractable cord so it looks more streamlined & neat when you're done.
