Welcome to our giveaway where 1 reader will win a Heat Storm Logan Portable Infrared Heater. This giveaway is being hosted by Tammie’s Reviews, Giveaways and More, promoted by some awesome blogger friends and sponsored by Heat Storm

You can read my full review of the product here

Heat Storm is a company that is dedicated to superior design and functionality. Their Heat Storm infrared heat technology are intelligent and functional. They want to keep you warm this winter. Their mission is to keep you warm for less. Here are 3 great reasons why you should own an energy efficient Infrared Heater:

  • A better heat exchanger- Traditional heaters have one exchanger where a Heat Storm Infrared Heater has 2. Their Tungstan and Fiber elements reach temperatures of 2000+F, whereas normal space heaters elements rarely exceed 500+F. Their infrared elements emit high levels of infrared light into a second exchanger.
  • A better use of energy- Besides being focused on keeping you warm, They have a second priority of keeping your energy bill low. Heat Storm heaters feature heat3 or pronounced heat cube technology which makes their heat smarter than the average heater. Their heaters automate how much energy should be used on the ambient temperature. Their heaters feature a digital thermostat which knows when to switch between full and half power. It takes intelligence to know what a space needs to heat it.
  • Heat Storm is Safer- They design safety into all of their products. I know you are asking yourself how and it is that unlike other space heaters, Heat Storm heaters have their elements enclosed and not exposed. You can feel safe and secure with a Heat Storm heater.

We've been using 3 small, very old electric heaters in the living room (it's a large room), a small one in the bathroom, and a crockpot full of water always on high in the kitchen for heat and moisture. We closed off the rest of the house, moved hubby's hospital bed into the living room, and I sleep on the sofa.

I like to snuggle with my dogs!

  197. AVA PERRY February 1, 2014 at 2:15 am -

Hot coco and nice warm quilts used to do the trick.  It has been so bitterly cold lately a heater would definitly help!

  198. paulette strouth February 1, 2014 at 2:58 am -

We have 2 old heaters, a wood burning fireplace box (ran out of wood) and a fuel oil boiler that is expensive to run.  We dress very warm, lots of blankets.  This is MN's worst cold weather in years. We could really use this heater.  We are Sr. Cits and need to stay warm.

I keep warm in winter with sweats, 2 pairs of socks & a big thick warm robe.

  205. lisa February 1, 2014 at 2:00 pm -

I usually turn the gas log on if it isn't cold enough to switch over to the boiler heat.

  206. Stanley C. February 1, 2014 at 2:26 pm -

This would be a great upgrade from my old inefficient radiant heater.

  207. BOBBI February 1, 2014 at 2:29 pm -

We don't have in direct heat in our home so we use small electric heaters to keep warm.  They can't be left on unattended so it get pretty cold at night when sleeping. I'm afraid to leave them on when I'm out of the room.

  208. Cathy French February 1, 2014 at 2:59 pm -

The main way to stay warm this winter is to simply stay inside and snuggle on the couch or in bed under blankets.

  209. Susan Chester February 1, 2014 at 3:14 pm -

I have afghans on all my furniture and like to wrap myself up in them!

lots of blankets, fuzzy slippers, hot chocolate, and my chihuahua cuddled next to me

  211. Melanie Couzens February 1, 2014 at 4:56 pm -

This winter has been brutal and near impossible to stay warm. So I have been wrapped up in a blanket while wearing warm layers and fuzzy slippers.

  212. Sharon February 1, 2014 at 8:30 pm -

I dress in layers, warm layers. I keep the thermostat as low as possible and use Oil Filled Heaters, and a fireplace. I also use ceiling fans and change the direction of the  fan's paddles with the switch at the top. The clothing  layers can be shed when the sun hopefully comes out and warms things up and the other tips help the central unit to heat the house evenly and quicker to save electricity. The most important way I stay warm though is a good cup of hot caffenated coffee!

  213. Pamela Callahan February 1, 2014 at 9:06 pm -

I use an electric warming blanket to keep the chill away

  214. Andy February 2, 2014 at 12:04 am -

We run around the house to work up a sweat!

  218. Jennifer Rogers February 2, 2014 at 2:19 pm -

Well, it's been a very financially poor year for us, and where I wish I had oil for heat for the whole house, we are getting by with plastic wrapped windows, leaving the door open while showering to let the heat out, lots of baking, and space heaters. Its been much cheaper to run the electricity then it has been to buy oil!

  219. Ashley February 2, 2014 at 4:59 pm -

I wear layered clothes and drink tons of hot tea.

  220. lisa February 2, 2014 at 5:57 pm -

  225. tamra gibson February 2, 2014 at 8:57 pm -

I wear sweetpants, sweetshirt, slippers and cover up with a quilt.

  236. lorraine February 4, 2014 at 12:29 am -

  243. Deb C February 5, 2014 at 3:20 am -

I wear layers when needed because it's easy to get too hot in heavy clothes.  I use an electric blanket so that lets us keep the thermostat low at night. Drinking hot chocolate helps warm your core temperature.

  244. Mya Murphy February 5, 2014 at 4:58 am -

Living in the south, normally drinking coffee does it.. this year, layering up, blankets and socks!!

I use extra blankets and layer my clothes.  I rather it be cold and add layers, then a heatware and can't get cool.

We don't have much of a winter here in SE Texas but when it does go down to the 20's or 30's I will get bundled up under the covers and watch some tv.  Always works. 😀

I wear a heavy coat, scarf, hat, gloves outdoors.  I'm comfortable indoors, but my mom is always cold – this would be for her.  She has an old heater, wears heavy PJs, uses a couple of quilts – and still feels cold.

I dress in layers. I always have a warm hat, gloves, and boots on besides a warm coat. When I come in form outside, I drink something warm, sit down, and cover up with a Warm blanket. Plus, common sense tells you when it's REALLY cold outside, don't stay outside for very  long at a time.
