Disclosure: I received this book for free as part of a review. The opinions in my review are honest and my own.

Sometimes, one of the hardest things is finding a gift for someone who is much younger than you. It wasn’t that long ago that I was in that category, but now that I’m in my 30s, even the youngest siblings in my family are starting to enter to high school.  Sometimes, finding the perfect gift with that age gap can be challenging. Rather than going with a boring gift card, I try looking for helpful, thought provoking gifts. As someone who loves books, they have always been an ideal gift for me, especially books that help others grow. Recently, I found a book that seemed perfectly designed for such an occasionStuff You Already Know & Everybody Should by Gina DeLapa.

Stuff You Already Know & Everybody Should: What is It

When Gina DeLapa first started writing Stuff You Already Know & Everybody Should, she didn’t start collecting quotes to write a book, but collect thoughtful advice to her nephew. As she was collecting different quotes and advice, her journal eventually started taking a life of its own, eventually becoming the book we all know today. Each of the quotes in this book contain thought provoking, informative advice, some of which are cute and funny, many of which are serious advice as well.

Stuff You Already Know & Everybody Should: Style

What really makes this book stand out is it’s unique, quote like layout. Not only does it make Stuff You Already Know & Everybody Should an easy read, but makes it more thoughtful and personal. You can tell by the style the book was written that it wasn’t meant to be an informative book, but advice given to someone who may be just starting their life or be soul searching. This personal touch really makes the book stand out and leave you feeling like you are getting true advice from a family member that cares.

Stuff You Already Know & Everybody Should: My Thoughts

Personally, I love the friendly, quote like style of this book. Not only is it a quick read, but has advice that fits into nearly any type of lifestyle. It doesn’t matter if you are 14 or 80, there truly is something for everyone in this book, making you reflect and consider some of your own life choices and experiences if the advice comes too late. Some of the quotes will make you giggle, and others laugh out loud; it truly is an enjoyable book that is the perfect gift for just about anyone. Based on my own experience, I am happy to give Stuff You Already Know & Everybody Should an A rating!

Stuff You Already Know & Everybody Should: Where to Purchase

Want to know where you can purchase this amazing book? You can purchase Stuff You Already Know & Everybody Should at most brick and mortar books stores or on Amazon.com. If you are looking for a gift filled with common sense and advice, you will love this thought provoking book!
