I mostly work with my dogs on walks to get them to stop pulling, and of course, basic commands. I have three rescued Treeing Walker Coonhounds and they are very food-oriented, so treats are a great way to reward them for doing good.

We like creating games that stimulate our dog….she is a big working dog (Alaskan Malamute)…..and needs plenty of exercise to stay content. She is very smart. We try to include her in family chores too, at least with just her presence, because she is eager to please, and “likes to help”. Her favorite game is to fetch tennis balls.

Maria – you made me smile so much seeing another Alaskan Malamute owner! Do you have a picture of your baby? Ivi does hospital therapy work so I know all about the working dog part. 🙂

My dogs train and compete in several dog sports. We mostly do agility, but also dabble in herding, nosework, lure coursing, and rally obedience. They also like to learn tricks. We go through a lot of treats, and this is one of their favorite brands, especially the smooches.

I’m not sure how much my dog will learn at this point. He will be 15 this week. I think he knows as much as he is going to know but he still likes the treats.
