    My family usually gets together on St Patrick’s day and we eat corned beef and cabbage.

    I actually do not celebrate St. Patricks Day. I may buy some green cookies or cupcakes…any excuse to buy treats~

    We try and wear lots of green and fake accents. We tried eating and drinking green foods but someone got out of hand with the food colouring and the milk – terribly sad.

    We make Irish lamb stew, usually with some fresh homemade biscuits, our family loves it, great way to celebrate our Irish heritage.

    we dont celebrate too much, i just made lephrichan hats for the kids and glued quarters and dimes to it all the way around and i taped bow tye dollar bills around the top, its pretty cute, then on st. patricks day we hunt for the pot of change/gold. thats about it.

    We always have corned beef and cabbage and talk like leprechauns at dinner as a family. Nothing too elaborate but we end up laughing like crazy leprechauns 😉

    I do celebrate St Patricks Day. We first cook our corned beef then we go out for drinks with family and friends.

    Not really. If I think of it I wear green. My grand s on is too young. My daughter teaches so she usually gets dressed up but this year they are on break on the 17th.

    We don’t celebrate much right now, just by wearing green. When my kids are older however, I want to learn more about the historic St. Patrick and why St. Patties day has traditionally been celebrated.

    I’m Jewish so I don’t celebrate St Patrick’s Day. I love the green pastries though, I did make a dozen cupcakes with green and pink icing on top!! It’s an exscuse for me to get reative in the kitchen!!

    I haven’t celebrated st. Pats in years (when I was in my 20’s and would go to a nearby college town and drink green beer…ugh). I am part Irish, though…so…a nod to all who do celebrate.

    We don’t typically do much to celebrate. The only thing we try to do is try to wear green so my daughter doesn’t pinch us.

    No, I don’t really celebrate St.Patricks at all. And I don’t think I ever have. I don’t really even honor it. It’s not to be cruel, I just don’t. I have no emotional ties to the day, or the history. And I think for most people (who aren’t Irish) it’s just an excuse to party and have fun, and drink, and be green and merry. Haha, which, for the record, is totally fine by me. 🙂

    Well, I’m hoping to get away to Chicago to see the river turned green. if that doesn’t happen, we will hit a local irish pub and I’ll definitely wear green (and kiss my part-irish boyfriend).

    Yes! I am half Irish and half Italian. We will be going to our local parade on Sunday and cooking a delicious corned beef and cabbage dinner on Tuesday 🙂

    It’s kind of bittersweet for me, as I am widowed, and St. Patrick’s Day was our anniversary. So in general, no – no more celebrating March 17th.
