Like many of you, I worry quite a bit about the quality of my dog’s food and treats. I have always worried about Reya’s food, but especially with all the recalls and scares of imported foods from China, we can’t really be too cautious. Even brands I knew and trusted had been making their pet food there, which truly disturbed me. Recently, I have been looking into a variety of different organic and natural brands that make their food in facilities with high ingredient standards. Through my search, I found a familiar brand that caught my interest and I knew I had to try – Newman’s Own Organics. After talking with them about some of their dog food, I was delighted when they asked me to review a variety of their foods!

Newman’s Own Organics Dog Food: Overall
Before this review, I had heard great things about Newman’s Own Organics. While traveling we had tried some of their licorice (for humans) but I didn’t have any other experience with the brand. To say the least, I couldn’t wait to open this food and see what Reya thought of it. So far, I have been very impressed. The ingredient list is very easy to read and best of all, it is made using only the best, natural and organic ingredients. Of course, any food can look amazing on the package and your dog absolutely hate it. Luckily, this wasn’t the case with this food. Reya was doing hops to get to this food and was truly excited. What impressed me more, however, was that this food was very filling. One large can of this food seems to be satisfying my 75lb dog, and she has had no interest in eating any other food after. She seems to be liking the other food just as well, making me a very happy dog mom. Based on our own experience with this food, we are happy to give Newman’s Own Organic Dog Food an A rating!

this is very good for dogs
I worry constantly about products sourced from China, and do not feed grain to my dog. I have not tried this yet but because of your review I will give it a try. I do love the other Newman’s Own Organics I have tried.
I had no idea that Newmans own had branched out to pet foods! They really do make quality person foods. I bet it is safe to say they make high quality pet foods as well.

I have never seen this before. Maybe because I live in small town Tennessee and it hasn’t made it here yet. Love the idea of organic for dogs. We all love our dogs just like kids and want the best for them. Unfortunatly, not a lot of organic food is even offered here, have to grow your own. Thanks for sharing.

I really enjoy Newman’s own in people food, for example, we LOVE their non creamy Ceasar Dressing. I would be concerned though with the dog food as it has grain in it and most vets will now tell you that they prescribe a grain free diet for dogs.

We have to buy Organic dog food because one of our dogs has severe food allergies but I haven’t tried Newman’s Own Organic dog food.
I love Newman’s Own Products and the fact that they give profits to charity. If the pet food is as good as the “people” food, it will be a wonderful product.

I have tried lots of human foods by Newmans and have not been disappointed. It is getting harder and harder to find quality, made in the USA, affordable dog food. This review has convinced me to give it a try. I will start with treats and work from there. Thank you for your experiences with us!!
I love being able to have so many choices for our pets. I’ve tried the canned cat food before and the cats loved it.
I have always believed in and trusted Newman’s Own Products! High quality ingredients and organic too! Right now I only have three 7-1/2 month old “kittens” and no dogs…I’ll be checking out their cat food products.

I like what I read about Newman’s Own Organics Dog Food and assume that they put the same care into their cat food. There are no stores within an hour drive of me that sell it so I would have to order online.

I am feeding my dogs a different organic dog food right now, I will have to give Newmans Own a try too. I was buying a cheaper brand sold in bulk years ago and my older dog had a terrible skin condition because of the feed. It took me longer then it should have to attribute it to the food.
Well, I buy Newman’s Organic human treats, so what better recommendation could there be? My dog also likes that kind of texture so thanks for the photo.

I love Newman’s Own for salad dressing, didn’t know they made dog food! The canned dog food and the dog treats look great – I looked up the ingredients on their website and I’m impressed.
I was buying Newman’s Own Dog food for years. I was impressed with the ingredients and quality, but after having my pug puppy tested for allergies I had to change his kibble. I’m sure his new ‘sister’ would like the products.
I love Newman’s Own Organics and so do my pets. I have a house load of cats at the moment would love this nutritious food!

I’m not surprised that healthier food is more filling than the rice-chuff empty calories in most pet foods…but I’m STILL impressed. Reya is sooooo pretty, and I love her name. My mom’s dog is having difficulty with her diet, so I can’t wait to try this more filling option.

I have never tried the Newman’s Own pet products, like the human treats from them lol. Going to use the locator, I don’t remember seeing this where I shop.
The snack sticks look like they’re barking up the beast’s tree, so to speak. She’s a little bit picky about treats and not terribly food-motivated, so I’m always happy to find something she’ll love.
My Furbabies (dogs) have tried Newman’s Own Pet Snacks – it was Chicken Flavor in the shape of hearts (healthy). They loved them. This is a really good giveaway.
