Honest Kitchen Smooches Treat Review & Giveaway

September 28, 2014 by Susan Bewley

Disclosure: I received this product for free to review. The opinions in my review are honest and my own.

Smooches Dog Treats

As a dog owner, I have found it very frustrating finding treats for Reya at times. Yes, there are hundreds of different natural treats on the market, but many of them don’t use ingredients I’m comfortable giving my dog. Even worse, some are manufactured in China. After the scare last year I’m nervous getting anything made from China, never mind treats ingested by my family. With Reya getting bored with some of her training treats, I have been in a rush to find new treats. Thankfully, I just learned that one of my favorite brands, Honest Kitchen, makes bite size dog treats perfect for training! After reading a bit about them, I was delighted when they asked me to review their Smooches™ treats!

Honest Kitchen Smooches: What Is It?

Looking for a yummy treat that will excite your favorite dog? If so, we think you will love Honest Kitchen’s Smooches™ treats! These little heart shaped, GMO-free treats are made from free-ranged chicken and cranberries, and contain no soy or corn, making them a great choice for our furry family members. Like all Honest Kitchen treats, you know that these treats are made with the best natural ingredients since, like all their food, they are made from human grade ingredients, making them the healthiest option around. Once your dog has tried these treats you will truly have a best friend for life!

Honest Kitchen Smooches: Overall

Being someone who loves Honest Kitchen’s line of dehydrated foods, I couldn’t wait to have Reya try their treats. To my surprise, she was immediately fascinated with the box. Not just fascinated, but she tried stealing the entire box and running off with it! Once the bag was opened and the treats came out of the box, I had the most well behaved malamute. She wanted to get into those cookies more than anything, and once she actually tried them, she wanted more! These treats actually do look like little heart shape cookies and look just like the sort of cookies you would eat yourself. To me, however, the best part is that I know she is getting healthy treats that are good for her! Based on our own experience with these treats, I am happy to give Honest Kitchen’s Smooches™ treats an A+ rating!

The more natural treats the better for my dogs. You have to be careful because you never know what they are ingesting that could make them sick. Careful research equals healthy and happy companions.

I would like to win these because I don’t like to give my dog commercial treats, I prefer ones that are more natural.

These sound great. I’ve been trying to eliminate things like corn and wheat from my dogs’ and cats’ diets, plus with all the issues with treats coming from China, I also watch to be sure what I buy isn’t coming from there. I think my dogs would love these!

I would like to try these treats because I am always looking for new treats for my picky dog. She is so picky that she failed dog school because she refused to eat the training treats. But I love her anyway and try to show it with yummy treats.

This year my pup started getting rashes from his dog food, so we have been cooking fresh food for them (in combination with a high quality dry dog food). I would love the opportunity to try a nice new dog treat! Thanks for the chance to win.

I would would to try these because my French Bulldog has a sensitive stomach and is limited to the types of treats he can eat. These treats sound like something he would like and can actually eat.

Because I usually can’t afford treats for my pets. I hate that. They do get table scraps every night, but having special treats for them makes their day and mine.
