As someone who loves autumn, I have been planning how to decorate the house for months, getting out some of my favorite autumn decorations. While I am a massive fan of Halloween, I think the girls like it more since they love seeing children come to the door. Knowing their costumes may need to be custom-made, I’m choosing to find something online. While I would love to make something homemade for my dogs, my work schedule this year doesn’t allow me to. By now, you are probably wondering why I would choose Etsy over Amazon. While I am a huge fan of Amazon (who can live without them), most of their costumes come straight from China. I would instead support mom-and-pop businesses working hard to make adorable things for my family. I also know pet lovers are making them, meaning I don’t have to worry about possible exposure to toxic chemicals that aren’t allowed to be used here in the United States. It is also better to know that much hard-earned money will support another family, not a giant corporation.

Sometimes, during Halloween, you find a costume that is so out of this world you can’t believe it. One of the ones I found was a Beauty and the Beast dog tuxedo. For those who don’t remember it, it is a fancy ruffled blue, yellow, and white tuxedo that the beast wears during the ballroom scene. This custom-made suit is adorable and made especially for your dog! On the customer images, they even have people bringing their dogs to prom dressed up. Are there children’s books that make you smile? Maybe it is because I was a teacher, but I have a soft spot for the Very Hungry Caterpillar. This adorable costume is an absolute must for larger dogs with floppy ears, and its fleece design will also keep things warm if it is a colder Halloween this year.

Out of all the Halloween Costumes for Giant Dogs that I have featured on this list, this is the only one I think pet parents can enjoy the entire holiday season. It is on the pricier side of Halloween costumes on this list, but with how intricate the costume is, it is easy to see why! I don’t know about you, but some dogs are just giant teddy bears in terms of looks and personality. My Ivi is likely one of those dogs with the sweetest personality, and she loves to cuddle.
