Do you enjoy a good salmon salad? I don’t know about you, but I love fish, especially salmon. As odd as it may sound, we rarely had fish growing up. My mom didn’t know how to cook it, so we only had it on a buffet or if one of the local mom-and-pop restaurants was having a catfish-frying night. Since buffet fish is usually questionable, I didn’t know I liked fish until I was much older. I liked catfish sometimes but didn’t crave it often as a kid (unlike my mom). It wasn’t until years later, as a teenager, that I learned I loved salmon at a family member’s wedding. I loved it and was shocked that people said it was mediocre, making me want to try it in more places. This led to my love of salmon and my quest to learn to make it at home.
While I have learned to make it in various ways, one of my favorites has been in the air fryer. It just makes cooking the fish so much easier, and it doesn’t dry out, unlike when cooked over the stove. Sure, you can fry it to where it is juicy and amazing, but the air fryer is truly effortless when making excellent salmon. While I sometimes marinade it, you only have to brush it with oil, and you are good to go. It is one of the reasons I prefer this method for cooking the salmon for my delicious salmon salad.
Have you ever had salmon salad? Think of it like tuna or chicken salad, but so much better (at least if you like salmon). It is an inexpensive, healthy meal that is a delicious hot or cold sandwich, and you get all the nutritional benefits of eating salmon. Best of all, it spreads out your salmon to multiple meals, making it a very cost-effective option for a relatively expensive protein (at least I think it is expensive). It is also a fantastic lunch option if you are entertaining since it is something most people won’t expect and has the sort of flavor that even picky eaters will enjoy.

Don’t have an air fryer? We prefer the Kalork Max Air Fryer Oven. It is a fantastic air fryer and oven with one of the largest capacities I have seen, making it perfect for everything (I use it more than my actual oven).
