Faberware Cordless Pro Stick Vacuum Review

January 31, 2025 by Susan Bewley

Are you looking for a new vacuum for your home? As some of you know, we travel quite a bit with our dogs and always look for new ways to keep things cleaner, especially during the coat-blowing season. While I would love to have an extra vacuum just for the car, it is something we can’t really justify with the cost of vacuums. We both feel that the vacuum needs to not just live in the SUV but be available as a secondary vacuum for cleaning up messes indoors. When we realized we needed something by the doors to clean up minor messes, I was excited to start looking at vacuums but was very quickly deterred by the price and overwhelmed by how many knockoff vacuums are on the market. As I was close to giving up, we were asked if we would review a complimentary Faberware Cordless Pro Stick Vacuum. While I wasn’t sure at first (I never think of Faberware for vacuums), I thought it seemed worth the chance with the fantastic price tag. Knowing that many of you are looking for budget vacuums too, I couldn’t wait to share the results!

Faberware Cordless Pro Stick Vacuum: What Is it

Are you looking for a new vacuum that is budget-friendly and perfect for apartment life? If so, you will love the Faberware Cordless Pro Stick Vacuum. Here is what the manufacturer has to say about this new vacuum.

Faberware Cordless Pro Stick Vacuum: In the Box

Inside the box for the Faberware Cordless Pro Stick Vacuum, you will find:

Our Thoughts

After testing the Faberware Cordless Pro Stick Vacuum for a bit over two weeks, I have to say I am very impressed with this little vacuum. While we did not expect it to compare to our Dyson V15 Detect Absolute, it did a far better job than we expected.

Before going into the review, we want to be upfront with everyone. While we may have had wall-to-wall carpet in some of our older vacuum reviews, this is no longer the case. With how much Ivi and Rylie shed, we ripped out the carpet throughout the houses and went to vinyl plank flooring to keep our home cleaner and better manage the fur during the blowing season. Our only rugs in the house are throw rugs for décor and to keep some of our bedroom floors warmer during winter.

Before discussing the suction power of this vacuum, I want to discuss one of my favorite features: the light–up charge monitoring display. When the vacuum is in use, there is a little light-up display on the side of the vacuum telling you the current percentage in number and in a bar format (similar to an iPhone). This is great for determining how long you can vacuum and how close you are to draining the battery (something every vacuum recommends doing at least once a month). It also has a fairly long charge time, lasting about 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the speed you are using for vacuuming. While I wish it had more than two speeds, both seem to work well daily.

Where the vacuum truly shines, though, is in its suction and filtering. I did not expect a vacuum under $200 to perform well when cleaning up Alaskan Malamute or any double-coated dog’s fur. To our surprise, it didn’t just clean up the fur well without getting clogged but pulled up quite a bit of fur and dander. After every load, we pulled up quite a bit of dust and dander, even in areas that we thought were fairly clean already from our daily vacuuming sessions (the girls are currently blowing their coats). This vacuum handled it like a champ; our only complaint was constant emptying due to the small dust bin size. However, we considered this completely worth it because it performed well on hard surfaces.

Now, here is the downside of the Faberware Cordless Pro Stick Vacuum. From our experience, it seemed to have a tough time with carpets. All of our throw rugs, no matter their size, caused trouble regarding suction. It wasn’t that it clogged; it just barely picked up anything that wasn’t large. It picked up some of the fur, but the canister had very little dust or dander. I’m unsure how much I would blame this little vacuum since I have seen very few vacuums that move from hard surfaces to carpets well. It had similar issues when it came to dog beds. We have two large dog beds covered with traditional upholstery fabric. It picked up decently on one of them, but the smoother it was, the harder of a time it had picked up anything off the beds, which we found a bit baffling.

We don’t consider either of these deal breakers for the vacuum since we have seen much more expensive vacuums that couldn’t handle these same issues (we have only had one stick vacuum in ten years that could effectively handle the hair our dogs leave on throw rugs and upholstery).

If you are looking for an apartment vacuum, I highly recommend the Faberware Cordless Pro Stick Vacuum. Its small size and budget-friendly price make it great for anyone with hard floors living in small spaces and having pets.
