Does your pet get enough water daily? You may surprised that most pets aren’t getting their daily recommendation of water,  which can lead to health issues now and down the road. Most veterinarians recommend that dogs get one ounce of water per pound of body weight a day. Since this can be a problem for dogs and cat owners alike, PetSafe is proud to help pet parents keep their pet hydrated with the PetSafe Drainkwell Pagoda Fountain.

For those who haven’t heard of this fountain, it is a lifesaver for both cat and dog parents. The PetSafe Drinkwell Pagoda Fountain is a stylish, ceramic fountain that not only filters water, but continuously recirculates up to 70 ounces of free-flowing water for pets, making sure they always have access to clean and fresh water at home. Not only does the dish look stylish in your home, it is completely dishwasher safe, making clean up as easy as possible for you. I keep plenty of fresh water in the four large bowls I keep in my house (and I have two on the back deck for the dogs). I have five Treeing Walker Coonhounds and three cats (all rescues) and I try to replace the water frequently so my sweet cats don’t have to drink water with doggy backwash in it. I’ve really been wanting something like this for my cats so they can always have clean, fresh water and not have to compete with the dogs at the dishes I have.

I keep a bowl each for the cat and the dog inside. The cat also likes to drink out of water glasses so I keep a plastic cup for her out filled with water and now the humans have to drink out of covered cups! I also keep a large bowl outside for the dog for when he goes out.

I make sure that their water dishes stay full of fresh water each and every day. If they get leaves in them from te wind blowing I empty them and refill them.

I always fill the regular bowl daily, but the kitties have a tendency to drink from the bubbling fountains around the house too.

My cat always has fresh water in a porcelain dish (I think her stainless steel one was causing her health problems). She also eats a diet of just canned food which has a higher water content than dry.

I keep fresh drinking water available at all times. My big baby Cookie likes to drink from the bathtub. Any time we go toward the bathroom he runs and jumps in the tub for us to turn on the faucet.
