Are you looking for an amazing homemade chili seasoning recipe? As someone who cooks many soups and international dishes, I regularly use chili seasoning as a kitchen spice. My primary concern is that most store-bought seasoning mixes contain a lot of salt, which can be an issue for those trying to limit their sodium intake for health reasons.
For my husband, it is for his blood pressure, and for me, it is for migraines. I also love being able to make my own spice mixes to change flavor profile, especially since my husband loves spicy dishes. This can be an issue if my in-laws are coming since they hate anything spicy, making a general mix sometimes challenging if I don’t want to spend much money. I must make a homemade chili seasoning recipe that I can easily adjust for my household.
While the recipe itself is adjustable and you can modify it to your liking, the most important thing is to make sure you use high-quality ingredients. I typically try to go for organic ingredients and get the best quality ingredients that I can afford. You can get almost everything at your local grocery store, but I typically buy my seasoning in bulk from Penzey’s. Their spices are fresher than anything I can get locally and always have a fantastic flavor that pops, even for some of the more basic spices (especially medium to hot chili powder).
