I’ve never heard of national scooter day but we’d probably spend it out scootering.

The day for this has passed, but had I known sooner, we would have gone out and purchased a spare helmet and pads set, taken the kids and their scooters to the park and found another child that may not have a set. I would have asked my 4yr old to bring them the spare set and tell them about scooter or bike safety and had her give the set to them. It’s important when children hear about these types of things from children their own age, I would think. Nowadays it’s not “cool” or maybe they’re uncomfortable wearing them…, I would think that it would not only have the other children want to wear them but be easier for the parents to try to get their child to wear the items more often without such a fuss too.
