Should I Listen to Weight Loss Tips? #CoreUnDiet

January 7, 2015 by Susan Bewley

Disclosure: I received products and/or monetary compensation for this post. All opinions, however, are honest and my own.

Overwhelmed by all the weight loss tips online, especially on Pinterest? I mean, some of the tips are pretty crazy – you are more likely to lose weight by holding a helium balloon. Yeah, I know I need to lose weight, that’s nothing new, but it isn’t like I haven’t tried weight loss before. I have managed to lose some weight quite a few times actually, but when I try the fad diets, it seems to always come back, you know?

Like many of you, I started January determined I am going to lose it all. In the past, I looked at the “free” advice in magazines, the internet, and of course, all the different weight loss ‘gurus’. I don’t know if you noticed too, but it always feels like the same advice year after year. I mean, sometimes it almost feels like they recycle the articles. While it may seem like an easy way out, many of the “tips” aren’t really tips. They are ineffective, short term advice that is only great for selling magazines. Sometimes, they even contradict themselves in a later magazine – they don’t care as long as the latest issue sells!

With such crazy advice out there, who are we to really trust, especially if we really want to change our lifestyle and lose weight for good? I want something that is consistent, from beginning to end, simple, and is a reputable, validated weight loss system. Now the Big Three weight loss companies (and a bunch of other companies, too) say they have all that. Trouble is, even though I may lose weight with those programs, I ALWAYS GAIN IT BACK. How about you?

There are two serious problems I need to make weight loss work — and LAST.  I think it may be the same for you.

1. We can’t simply starve our bodies to lower weight. It just doesn’t work, and is one of the reasons dangerously low calorie diets don’t work. Yes, you may lose in the short term, but it will come back when you go back to your old lifestyle. These diets are a waste of money designed to keep you as a long term customer. To learn more about this, check out “How Diets Really Cause Weight Gain“. Its short, I promise, and very informational! We can’t do the same thing over and over and expect different results. That is why we really need an undiet, don’t you think?

2. I need to learn how not to regain my weight. If you look at most programs, they don’t spend much time talking about how not to gain the weight back. The Big 3 weight loss companies, the 90- Day Challenge-Type programs, and others like them don’t give us what we need.  Here is the longer version of the UnDiet video which really shows what you need to do to keep the weight off. See the “How to Keep it Off Diet” here. It’s not an ad. It’s just the proven “No ReGain” science in real simple terms.

I have heard about the #CoreUnDiet. Everything I know about it says it’s a true UnDiet. and ALSO a “no regain” diet. Go here to learn more about it and get free samples to test it for yourself. All we really have to lose is weight, right?

End of the day, let’s ditch the “diet tips” from the gurus and crazy magazines. Save your money and put it toward buying something nice for yourself, like new pants once you lose all the weight. Why do anything else when you can get free samples of the …#CoreUnDiet!

Tips are great as sources and recommendations. It depends on individual to choose / test to have a proper result. I believe each person requires different solutions for weight loss. Great read!

See my problem is impatience. If I don’t see results almost immediately I get discouraged. But I have remember something one of my trainers told me years ago – “Did you gain the weight quickly? No? Well, then it will probably take just as long as it did to add the pounds to shed them again.” That has always stuck with me and keeps me motivated despite set-backs.

Tips are always great but you have to do what’s best for you and your body. Not all diets and exercises work for the same people.

My husband is spending way too much time trying to find out online what foods he should and shouldn’t eat to lose weight. Carrots are good because they have fiber and vitamins, but wait, they are full of sugar. Grains are a good source of fiber, but they aren’t Paleo. I just keep telling him to get real.

Above all I think people just need to use common sense. If something sounds wrong or seems like it will do more harm than good, then it probably will. Thank you for sharing this post.

This is very good information for those trying to lose weight. I believe in moderation and light stretching.

There comes to a point when you have to filter advice. You cannot take all advice at once! Only try one plan at a time. Good luck to all!

It is very confusing with all the weight loss tips and many products on the market. The real truth is, all of our bodies and metabolism is different. We need to find a good healthy way to go. We need to make sure we are getting all the nutrients our bodies need. Good luck with losing weight. I am sure you will do it

Your so right, the same articles appear over and over again, year after year. Some of the advice sounds logical but unfortunately very really work. I’ve tried a lot of them.
