Visit from the Fairy Hobmother

Posted on May 18 2013 - 8:21pm by Susan Bewley

Have you ever had one of those really tough weeks that leave you waiting for something good to happen? That has been this week for me. I have been very stressed with work and helping my husband prepare for a business trip. Since I normally go with him on trips, it was a bit of a sad week for me.  I just couldn't afford to leave work for the trip to New Jersey, and we weren't for sure how our new puppy, Reya, would handle the long car drive.  Knowing I needed something to perk me up, I decided to check my email and see what  type of fun things I could research for Budget Earth. When I opened my email, however, I had a wonderful surprise – I was visited by the Fairy Hobmother!

For those of you who don't know about the Fairy Hobmother, he is a happy little fairy who visits hard working bloggers and even leaves gifts!  So, what type of gifts does he love? What would you say if I told you he leaves gifts in the form of Amazon Gift Cards?  Until recently, I knew little about the Fairy Hobmother, other than he visited hard working bloggers who left comments on their friends blogs. After such a miserable week, I was so happy to have a little bit of joy in my life, knowing I was visited by blogspheres most famous fairy!

Would you love to be visited by the Fairy Hobmother? If so, make sure to leave a comment here so he knows where to find you. Our little fairy friends love to hop from blog to blog, so you may very well be his next stop. Just don't forget to go visit his fairy overlords at Appliances Online if you live in the UK. They have a lot of great deals on appliances and even recycle your old ones. Who knows, you may even be able to find a new energy star certified washer and dryer!

If you would like to follow the adventurers of the Fairy Hobmother, make sure to follow him on Twitter. I wish all of my blogger friends luck and hope he visits you next!

Disclosure: Budget Earth receive compensation in the form of an Amazon Gift Card  for this article since it was visited by the Fairy Hobmother.  All of the opinions on this blog are the opinions of said author and these opinions may differ from your own.

I am not a blogger yet but a visit from the airy hobmother is just what I need. April 4th I suffered a serious injury to my right wrist (I am right handed). I had to go by ambulance to the hospital because I was home alone. I missed the artery on both sides by millimeters. I could not feel my hand at all. On April 17th I had surgery to repair 3/4 tendons and 2/3 nerves that were severed. On May 9th I had to go to the emergency room because of an infection in my wound. They admitted me to the hospital and did emergency surgery. While I was there they discovered that I need to have open heart surgery. That will be in the next few weeks because the situation is very serious. I was told that I am to have NO stress as I could die at any time. The doctor that I see for my wrist injury is a 2 hour round trip and in the last 6 weeks I have had to make the trip 30 times. I was hospitalized in the hospital in that city so my family had to ake the trip every day so they could talk with the doctors about everything that is going on.

During all of this our refrigerator broke down and we are living out of coolers until we can afford to either repair or replace it. Needless to say, I could use a Ffairy Hobmother visit! LOL

I know how you feel. I just had a couple of those weeks and I think I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel. I actually went on a business trip with my husband a couple weeks ago, and got bad news while I was there. Then I got real sick. Then things kind of spiraled. But the past few days have been on an upswing, and I've never been more happy to get to clean my house. (That should tell you something!)

Congratulations on your visit, sometimes things like that are just what you need.
