I love dressing and cranberry sauce the best. My mom made the best meal in the world and I looked forward to it every year. She refused to let my sister or me in the kitchen to learn to cook or even clean up the mess. I had NEVER washed dishes until I moved out. Even after my sis and I were married, we still all went to mom’s for Thanksgiving and Christmas. My sis has been dead for 5 years, but my mom is 92. My grandmother was an excellent cook too. I am a horrible cook and wished my mom had taught me her recipes. I wrote down my grandmother’s recipes, but they don’t taste or look like her’s. My mom doesn’t make Thanksgiving dinner anymore. We go to friends’ houses now.
