10 Superfoods That Prevent Hair Loss

July 16, 2018 by Susan Bewley

If you’ve been losing your hair, you want to find a quick and easy solution to your problem. It turns out the solution might be as simple as changing your diet. Add these 10 superfoods into your diet to stop your hair loss problem in its tracks.

1.      Salmon

Salmon isn’t just tasty. It’s full of omega-3 fatty acids, which act as a natural anti-inflammatory. Those anti-inflammatory properties stimulate hair growth, so pick up some salmon for dinner tonight.

2.      Oats

Oats are packed with fiber, and all that fiber improves issues related to insulin resistance. Since insulin resistance can cause hair loss, this is an excellent food to add to your diet.

3.      Beets

Your hair follicles need nutrients to thrive. Fortunately, beets are full of nutrients, and those nutrients will go directly to your hair follicles. A plate full of beets will help you get the luscious locks you crave.

4.      Sunflower Seeds

Sunflower seeds aren’t just a fun food to take to the ball game. These tiny seeds contain more of their fair share of Vitamin D5. That vitamin stimulates blood flow and hair growth. In other words, your sunflower seed habit could lead to some luscious locks.

5.      Lentils

Did you know that lentils contain tons of folic acid? Folic acid helps oxygenate the skin and the scalp, and you know what that means. That helps you prevent hair loss.

6.      Lean Ground Beef

Forget about eliminating red meat from your diet. Lean ground beef is packed full of iron. Since mineral deficiencies are a major cause of hair loss, it’s a good idea to fill your diet with lean ground beef.

7.      Red Peppers

Do you like to add a little spice to your food? You’re in luck. You love of red peppers means you will have all the Vitamin C you need. Vitamin C makes your hair stronger, so it is less likely to fall out.

8.      Spinach

Spinach is packed full of iron, so it helps you get full and healthy hair. Popeye’s hair follicles must not have gotten the memo. While spinach made him big and strong, it did little for his hair. Fortunately, though, you’re a human and not a cartoon character, so spinach will be a big help.

9.      Nuts

Nuts don’t just taste good. They are loaded with oils that keep your hair strong and prevent it from breaking. If you want your hair to be shiny and strong, you need to add some nuts int your diet.

10.  Greek Yogurt

Greek yogurt isn’t just yummy. It’s really healthy. It contains vitamins D and B5. Both of those vitamins play an essential role in nourishing your hair.

Go Shopping Today

Now you know what you need, so it’s time to go shopping. Add these items to your shopping list and chow down to better hair. You will be surprised by how much stronger and fuller your hair is after you start eating the right foods.
