Conquer Your Stress with Mind & Body Techniques Review

November 22, 2013 by Susan Bewley

Disclosure: I received this product for free to review . The opinions in my review are honest and my own.

While I love the holidays, they are also filled with quite a bit of stress. Not only are we worrying about finding the perfect gifts, but keeping everyone in our family happy. This can mean as little as finding the right toy or making sure certain family members don’t fight. Throw work in the mix and you can see why some people don’t really look forward to them. Even though many of us can’t change some aspects of our life, it is possible for us to control our stress and keep it from taking over our lives. When I was asked to review a new stress management book, I was pretty excited. When Conquer Your Stress with Mind & Body Techniques arrived, I couldn’t wait to get started!

Conquer Your Stress with Mind & Body Techniques: What is It

Looking for a way to conquer the stress in your daily life? Conquer Your Stress with Mind & Body Techniques discusses the history of stress and how it affects us in today’s busy world. In this book, you will learn how to control the physical responses to stress and different techniques to lessen tension to improve your overall health. With a treasure trove of easy stress relief methods, you can incorporate the advice recommended by professional therapists into your own life. As well, learn about reiki, massage, sound and color healing, gemstones, aromatherapy, NET, hypnosis, and more!

Conquer Your Stress with Mind & Body Techniques: Style

Over the years, I have read quite a few self help books. Some are very preachy, while others are very personal. Conquer Your Stress with Mind & Body Techniques is actually somewhere in the middle in terms of its tone. The author’s voice is very friendly, but more in terms of a good teacher than someone writing to you as if they are your best friend. With the topic, I think this is better since it gives the book more credibility. As well, the writer does a great job citing her sources, allowing you to learn more about each of the techniques recommended if you see fit!

Conquer Your Stress with Mind & Body Techniques: My Thoughts

As someone who has dealt with anxiety her entire life, I thought this book was very educational and mind opening. Many of the homeopathic and alternative medicine techniques mentioned I have heard of previously, but not in the depth that Kathy Gruver presents it. In a way, I think she makes alternative medicine more approachable for people who know nothing about it. Based on my own experience with Conquer Your Stress with Mind & Body Techniques, I am happy to give it an A rating!

Conquer Your Stress with Mind & Body Techniques: Where to Purchase

Want to learn how you can conquer your stress naturally? You can purchase Conquer Your Stress with Mind & Body Techniques on Amazon.com. At the time of this review, the Kindle copy was selling for $10, with the hardcover book on sale for $15.25.

Disclosure: Budget Earth did not receive compensation but did receive a copy of the book for review purposes. All opinions on this product are my own and may differ from our readers’ opinions.

I may have to check this book out. I'm under a lot of stress half the year due to my husband's job. This could've come in handy about 6 years ago when the stress of him being gone (while pregnant with our first) really started taking its toll.

Very interesting topic. I like the idea of homeopathic and alternative medicine technics. This day and age I feel like doctors are too fast to write up a prescription for every little thing. Not that I am against medicine prescribed by a doctor. I am someone who has struggled with ADHD since childhood and HAS to take medicine for it. I also get severe social anxiety and recently have switched from anxiety pills to natural remedies such as breathing techniques, and honestly I feel allot better! I think that when we as humans get anxiety from (whatever noun you have in mind) we need to feel it and not numb ourselves. Once we start numbing ourselves from our natural fears we enable ourselves from the feelings we might actually need.
