Burt’s Bees Coconut Foot Cream Review

August 17, 2012 by Susan Bewley

While I am not proud to admit it, I have terrible looking feet. It's not that they are deformed or anything, it is that I prefer going barefooted indoors throughout most of the year.  Rather than having nice, soft skin like most women I know, the skin on my feet is thickly callused and cracked, leaving me far too embarrassed to wear my sandals. I even got an expensive pedicure, only to find out that it really didn't do anything, with how bad my feet were.  Since I love sandals and open shoes, as well as having soft feet, I decided to do something about it – I went to the store and started looking for a suitable cream.  As I was looking at travel samples for a trip, I found a travel size Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream .

Seeing that it was only $2, I decided to give it a try and see if it worked. Even though I loved the Burt's Bees brand, I really didn't have high expectations for this foot cream. After all, I had tried Gold Bond and even Avon's foot cream, only to find it did absolutely nothing for my feet. After using this small bottle of Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream for two weeks, however, I was so surprised with the results!

Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream

As someone who has used Burt's Bees products for awhile, I am very happy with this company. Most of their products are as natural as possible, using honey and other ingredients to create amazing natural beauty products.  Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream is no exception.  It 99.4% natural and made using a softening blend of super saturated coconut oil and other deeply penetrating botanical oils. With its combination of ingredients, you are left with soft skin that looks and feels amazing! Like all other Burt's bees products this natural foot cream is also never tested on animals!

Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream: Effectiveness

As I said above, I am far from proud of how my feet look.  The heels are dry, cracked, and have layers upon layers of rough skin. Rather than spend a lot of money on pedicures, I purchased a nice soaking tub and a bag of dead sea salt to use as a foot soak. While this and a pedicure stone can do wonders, you still have to have a quality foot cream to keep it from getting worse and help repair the damage. After using Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream for about two weeks, I have already started seeing amazing results. The ball of my foot is feeling softer, and my skin is actually starting to look healthy!

As the directions recommended, I have been using the cream every night as well. I just put a generous amount of Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream on my feet and then a nice pair of fluffy socks to help it better penetrate my skin. I have to admit, it is amazing for the first time in my life not having terrible looking feet! I can see using this cream even after my feet are completely repaired just because it makes my feet feel so amazing! Why not spoil the most stressed part of your body?

Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream: Smell

I have found that most foot cream on the market smells absolutely terrible. I have stopped even buying ones that claim to be peppermint, since they have the most nauseating smell – something that is disappointing to me since I love peppermint-scented everything! What is so odd about Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream is that it actually smells really good! It has a very nice, cool smell to it that I consider more aromatherapy than just a scent. For anyone who has not had a chance to smell this cream, it smells just like opening a brand new bottle of fresh coconut oil. You don't really get much more of a natural coconut smell than that! Even better, it has a very slight hint of peppermint, making it perfect in my eyes.

Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream: Overall

After using this trial bottle, I think I am completely hooked on this stuff! During my last order at Amazon, I ordered a few tubes since I have been slowly trying to get my feet looking healthy again. With how wonderful it makes my feet feel, and how quickly it deals with rough, cracking skin, I have to give this an A rating.  The only reason I am not giving it an A+ is that I think the bottle could be a bit larger. This has been one of my largest complaints with any Burt's Bees product, but I have to admit, you get the quality you pay for with their products.  If you want a foot cream that actually works, I strongly recommend picking up a bottle of Burt's Bees Coconut Foot Cream .

My feet are pretty terrible too! They have a few really bad rough spots, which I attribute to almost never wearing shoes during the summer and always walking around the house and the yard barefoot. Woops? I'm a big fan of the lack of laundry list of chemicals in Burt's Bees products, so I'm really glad that the Coconut Foot Cream worked for you and that it is worth looking into to repair rough, cracked feet.

Can't wait to try this.  I, too, have a terrible habit of going outside with bare feet.  In the winter I can keep a check on the bad heels with vaseline and socks but the summer is just too hot.   I hope Burts is the answer!  I will certainly try it
