Disclosure: I received these products for free to review. The opinions in my review are honest and my own.

To me, one of the biggest frustrations is dealing with flat, dry hair. While I have beautiful curl in my hair, it is common for it to either be frizzy or worse, flat and dull. On the days where it is flat and not wanting to behave, I have a hard time adding any volume to my hair. Since I hate using hair care products like gel or hairspray, I was excited when I was approached to review the HiClips – a new hair tool to help anyone add volume to their hair without additives. Once it arrived, I was excited to wash my hair and get started reviewing this innovative product!

HiClips: Overall

Even though my hair has quite a bit of natural curl, it is sometimes hard getting volume without using styling products. I normally hate using gels and hairspray since it makes my hair feel heavy and nasty. For this reason, I was pretty excited to try the HiClips. I will admit, they do take some playing and experimenting to get to work. Once I figured it out, however, it did add volume to my hair without damaging or pulling it out. Since I have long hair, it took a big longer for me to get it all looking fluffy and cute. I think it would work much faster and better with shoulder length hair or shorter. Based on my own experience, with the HiClips, however, I have to say I was fairly impressed and am happy to give it an B+ rating!

Well, at least it's better than those things people were using a while back. I wish Icould remember what they're called. The things that made everyone look like the cone heads on snl.
