Do you have any grooming battles with your dog or cat? Honestly, while both of my girls love being brushed, anything that involves a bath, their claws, or ears is almost always a fight. It usually involves a battle plan, since we know Reya will high tail it as soon as she sees any of our health and wellness products for dogs come out from under the cabinet. Lately, we have been having problems with Reya’s ears looking and smelling less than pleasant. Normally, I just take care of her ears with a wet cloth but it looks like we may need something a little stronger to keep her ears healthy, clean, and smelling great. Luckily, we recently found the perfect solution at PetSmart® – Bayer® ExpertCare™ Ear Care Rinse.

Never heard of Bayer ExpertCare products? They have a large variety of products to make grooming for dogs and cats alike easier and better for your favorite pets. Their at-home pet care products are specially formulated for cats or dogs, giving you the freedom to pick high quality care products that will leave your pets clean and feeling amazing without a great deal of fuss. They understand that no one knows your pet like you, so they are proud to offer products to support their skin, ears, eyes, digestive system, as well as grooming for dogs. Personally, I also love that BayerExpert products are from a company I trust (I have used Bayer products for human care too!).

With the Bayer ExpertCare Ear Care Rinse, one of the things I loved was that the rinse is really designed to work. Unlike other products I had researched, it is an antiseptic cleansing rinse that contains wax-dissolving and drying agents. along with aloe vera to avoid drying them out. As owner of a dog who hates getting her ears cleaned, I want a product that makes things as quick as possible for her, while doing it effectively the first time. Of course, I also want her being as comfortable and happy as possible, even while I’m doing something she may not like.

As you can see, her ears are much cleaner and I’m happy to say the process was fairly easy on us and Reya (aside from a run through the house to catch her). Overall, Bayer ExpertCare Ear Care Rinse was a big win in our house and I’m happy to have another awesome product in my arsenal of grooming products.

Want to purchase Bayer ExpertCare Ear Care Rinse for your own dog? You can find this awesome ear rinse and other fantastic Bayer ExpertCare products at your local PetSmart store in the grooming aisle (the one with dog shampoo and supplements). I understand about the dog running and hiding. Mine runs for the nearest table. I use an ear wash given to us by the vet but it looks like yours works well and it’s a lot cheaper.

Again, I have no animals and find it difficult to comment about pet products. Part of the reason is because all the time and care they require. I just couldn’t do it.

Cleaning your pets ears are so important but a lot of people don’t really think about it. I think it’s great that you have a lot of articles about pet care. I think your blog really helps people with animal care. I personally have tried a few products you have reviewed and I will be trying this one too.

    • Susan Bewley November 20, 2015 at 5:18 pm - Reply

So glad i could help, Melissa! I am planning on doing an article giving more detailed instructions about it since so many people don’t even think about their ears! I”m so glad you trust our opinion on products. It is so hard finding quality pet items, especially ones that are great for larger dogs. 🙂

I like the fact that it has aloe vera in the solution, so it doesn’t dry out the ears.

Huskies are one of my favorite dog breeds, but their ears are definitely prone to ear infections. Thanks for introducing me to this ear care product from Bayer.

My Sheltie has been having ear issues. I’ve been cleaning his ears a lot this month. He hates when I clean his ears. He runs away from if I don’t catch him first, lol. Poor dog! I will have to pick up a bottle of the Bayer product this week and try it out. It doesn’t seem like the Burt’s Bees ear wash that I’ve been using on him is working all that well.
