Philips LED with Warm Glow Dimmable Light Review

March 4, 2015 by Susan Bewley

Disclosure: I received this products for free to review. The opinions in my review are honest and my own.

Philip's bulbs
As many of you know, my husband and I try being fairly eco-friendly, yet practical in our home. Ever since we purchased our home we have been using LED light bulbs since they are not only more eco-friendly, but they last longer, leading to more saving for us in the long run. One of the biggest issues with these light bulbs, however, is that they aren’t the best for dimming. At least, this is what my husband and I thought until we were introduced to the Philips LED with Warm Glow Dimmable Light Bulbs!

Philips LED with Warm Glow Dimmable Light: What is It

Looking for an LED light bulb that is not only bright, but able to be used with dimming switches? If so, we think you will love the Philips LED with Warm Glow Dimmable Light. These bulbs use the designed elements from the Philips’ SlimStyle and Clear LED line to give you a great looking light bulb that is inexpensive, gives off warm light, and designed to last for years. Each of these light bulbs uses the latest warm glow dimmable light technology, allowing the bulb to gradually dim at different light levels, giving off a warm, amber tones like traditional incandescent light bulbs. Along with being ENERGY STAR certified, these bulbs comes with a 10 year warranty, allowing you to get even more bang for your buck since all the bulbs in this line are sold for under $10 a bulb!

Philips LED with Warm Glow Dimmable Light

Philips LED with Warm Glow Dimmable Light: Overall

I will freely admit, we are so far big fans of these light bulbs. Before seeing the Philips LED with Warm Glow Dimmable Light, I had never seen dimmable LED light bulbs. Most LEDs actually have warnings on the package telling you not to use them in dimmers. Now, Phillips has made it not only possible, but inexpensive with their latest advancements, allowing you to get a dimmable LED bulb for under $10. Best of all, they are also ENERGY STAR certified, something I am happy to see as someone who tries keeping her home as green as possible. As you can see from our lamp, the bulbs are bright, cheerful, and even work in a variety of different lamps or switches throughout your home with built in dimmers. Since they also last for up to 10 years, I feel like we are getting a true bargain with these light bulbs. Based on our own experience we are delighted to give the Philips LED with Warm Glow Dimmable Light an A rating!

These lightbulbs seem worthy to try. I can’t believe how expensive lightbulbs have been getting. One of these for $10 is worth it if it last 10 years!!

Light bulbs go so quickly in our house.. if it really does last 10 years, then these could be a life saver! Ten dollars is a heft price though, I do have to admit that..

We too are trying to get the lighting in our house to be more efficent– $10.00 for 1 bulb is alot I have to agree but with a 10 yr warranty it will be the way to go,little at a time.

That’s one of the things I love about these bulbs! We have ones we paid for when we went into our first apartment in 2005 that are still going! Different brand but the more eco-friendly LED bulbs really rock!

Im really not usually a fan of warm lighting myself! We are using all daylight lighting around my house. I have seen that they have those bulbs sold as led’s as well!! I will have to try them out!!

I like these bulbs. I’m not fond of harsh lighting. And, it sounds like they more than pay for themselves.

We use LED bulbs and they really do last a long time! We prefer warm lighting and have some rooms with dimming switches, so these sound like they’d work great.

We have slowly but surely transitioning from the “old” light bulbs to the “new” light bulbs. I would try these and the price is right if they really last that long.

I like the idea of the warm glow, but I would buy these if they last at least five years.

I like using these bulbs because they are really economical in the long run and I personally like the “warmer” glow. I am going to look for these in my local Home Depot.

I can’t believe they are supposed to last 10 years! That’s longer than many people stay in one home. Lol. That’s awesome though if they really do last that long.

Thank you for this . I have been debating the move to LED lighting for a while , but have been hesitant because of bad experiences with the last “energy efficient” transition. The more I read , the more the initial outlay seems worth it and your piece has certainly helped .

An LED bulb that is warm and dimmable is what the market needs to encourage more people to give up incandescent.
