For me, exercise and I have always had a love/hate relationship. I love reading while on the exercise bike, and I enjoy my Beachbody workouts, but my husband’s weight bench has always been something I despised. It wasn’t designed for someone small like me (I’m only 5’2) and I’ve always fought him when it came to using any form of weights. Things that were easy for him were just horrible for me. Since I didn’t enjoy it, I avoided it and fought him every time he tried teaching me. I knew I had to start doing some strength training, but the thought made me sick. When I first got this book, I knew I needed it but had no clue what to expect. Once it arrived and I had a chance to go through the book, Strength Training Exercises for Women far exceeded my expectations. The book is very easy to understand, upbeat, and you can tell the author truly wants you to succeed. It feels like you are having a personal trainer in your hands every time you pick up the book. Best of all, the pictures of the exercises really help you know if you are doing them correctly, avoiding injury and helping you build confidence. Based on my own experience with this book, I am happy to give Strength Training Exercises for Women an A rating.

    I want to win this because I am trying to get new ideas to change my weightlifting exercises.I have been doing the same routine for awhile and I haven’t read any new books lately.

    I would like to win this to help me get back in shape after having a baby three months ago. It would be nice to have a resource that gives suggested exercises and helps me focus on proper form.

    I need to lose some weight (fat) and I know that the best way to do that is with weight training. I just haven’t found a book that makes me feel comfortable enough to try it on my own yet, and I don’t want to go to a gym.

    I have to admit, I don’t really stick to strength training routines, although I know I need to desperately! I tend to focus more on cardio. Ironically enough, I HATE cardio because I hate sweating.
