Tribes-A-Dozen Hallah Egg Bread Mixes Review & Giveaway

March 18, 2014 by Susan Bewley 31 Comments

Disclosure: I received these products for free to review. The opinions in my review are honest and my own.

If there is one thing I love about food around this time of year, it is all of the seasonal breads and pastries. Growing up, we looked forward to going to some of the bakeries in the next largest city over and getting some of the delicious traditionally Jewish breads you found during Passover. While I have always loved these breads, it has been a disaster most of the times I tried making it, leaving me feeling exhausted or like I had wasted a day if the bread didn’t turn out right. When I heard there was a company that made boxed Hallah (egg bread), I knew I had to try it. Once my box of Tribes-A-Dozen Hall Egg Bread Mixes arrived I couldn’t wait to get started!

Tribes-A-Dozen Hallah Egg Bread Mixes: What is It

Want to bake all natural, delicious bread without spending all day in the kitchen? How about traditional Hallah egg breads that are Kosher and made from only the finest ingredients? If so, we think you will love Tribe-A-Dozen Hallah Egg Bread Mixes. These delicious bread mixes allow even the busiest of bakers to make some of their favorite breads at home without devoting a full day to baking. With fast prep and easy clean up, you will have your favorite breads just in time for dinner. Best of all, these breads taste just like homemade bread, giving you feeling of being right in mom’s kitchen. Currently, there are a choice of 3 delicious bread mixes – Traditional Egg Bread, Wholey Wheat Egg Bread, and Simple Spelt Egg Bread.

Tribes a Dozen Bread

Tribes-A-Dozen Hallah Egg Bread Mixes: Overall

I have only made egg bread a few times in my life and I will be the first to tell you – it takes a long time. It isn’t that it is difficult, just very time consuming, and requires babying the bread during the entire process. With my busy schedule I just don’t have the time for that, making this bread perfect for my family. While the bread does take two hours total, most of this is waiting for the yeast to rise, which isn’t a big deal at all. By the time it was finished I had the most delicious bread that tasted just like the stuff I would find in bakeries in the northeast. After trying two of the breads, I am happy to give Tribes-A-Dozen Hallah Egg Bread Mixes an A+ rating!

Tribes-A-Dozen Hallah Egg Bread Mixes: Where to Purchase

I would love to win this because my family loves homemade bread! I usually make my own bread, but I do not have a bread machine, so it usually takes quite a bit of time and effort. Thanks for the tasty and very useful giveaway!

This seems like a way I could learn to make bread. I have wanted to but have been afraid to. This also looks like bread that would fill the house with a wonderful aroma and taste even better.

This sounds like a great product to try, and who doesn’t like a giveaway. I think the breads would be wonderful to make for Easter and just about any time you want to get in the kitchen with your family and bake some bread for a nice breakfast treat.

I would love to try this because I am from the northeast and everyone seems to make great bread but me. I would love to show everyone that I too can make an awesome bread. It sounds like something I could make without being an expert in the baking field.

I really enjoy making homemade bread, sometimes I don’t have the time and a packaged bread mix is great to have on hand. I have heard these mixes mentioned many times but never tried them so I would love the opportunity to try them.

I would like to try this bread because I’ve always been fascinated with home-made breadmaking, but intimidated by the process. This seems approachable AND healthy! Thanks for hosting this giveaway and writing the review! I hope I win!

Well, I call myself a Food Historian, but I have a confession to make. No, I have never tried to make this type of bread before. Not sure why, maybe it’s because there’s so many recipes, I can’t figure out which ones to try.

I want to try this bread because I absolutely love bread. Could basically live off of it. And I have started trying to make my own. Yesterday I made oatmeal bread and raisin english muffins. And you give this an A+ rating so it sounds definitely worth adding to the list.

I just started to learn how to bake bread last week. I started off with Guinness bread, vegan Irish soda bread (for guests) and regular Irish soda bread. They all came out well, although the Guinness bread hasn’t reheated well; it’s mushy in the middle no matter what I do. Anyhoo, I really enjoyed it and want to try to expand my repertoire!
