15 Delicious Chocolate Recipes

October 30, 2013 by Susan Bewley

As it gets closer to winter, I have been spending more time in the kitchen getting ready for holiday baking. For me, it’s not a true holiday if there isn’t at least one chocolate dish. Normally, I am the person who provides the chocolate dessert at the table. While I obviously love to bake, sometimes I get bored making the same desserts constantly and love to switch things up a bit. This means when I’m not writing reviews, I am going through friends’ blogs and Pinterest looking for delicious recipes that I think my family will love. As all of us know though, Pinterest can quickly become a black hole, costing us countless hours that could be used for baking! To make searching for yummy chocolate treats even easier, I included some of my most recent chocolate finds on this list of 15 delicious chocolate recipes.

Thin Mint Hot chocolate is a wonderful idea. As the holidays and winter approach, I've been thinking about different and special hot drinks. Everything this year is salted caramel. This recipe is so easy. Maybe we should find the nearest Girl Scout Troop and buy up all those delicious thin mints.

Thanks so much for all the fantastic chocolate recipes!!! I LOVE CHOCOLATE! I also Love to bake! I found today a bag of kisses that are candy cane flavored and white & red striped! I’m going to make my normal “kiss cookies” with the peanut butter, but I’m going to also make this chocolate cookie recipe that I have and put a candy cane flavored kiss in the middle like the original “kiss cookie”! I think they’ll taste pretty darn good! I have so many different recipes for cookies and bars which I make for Christmas. Oh and don’t be afraid to freeze them! After Thanksgiving, I generally start baking cookies, because I make about 15 different kinds. When they are cooled, I place them in a freezer safe bag and pop them right into the freezer! I take them out to make up platters for my gifts to my neighbors and they thaw out! No one can ever tell that they were frozen! They all call me for the recipes and say how delicious they are. The drawback on that one is that the freezer is so full of cookies, that there is no room for much of anything else! I do appreciate the recipes you shared! I just might check a few out! I did look at the peanut butter cup one! YUMMY! I make a “No cook” fudge that tastes like a peanut butter cup! Thanks again, I really appreciate it! Michele 🙂
